Ambient_Filtration

Large blowers and air filtration equipment draw contaminated air from the plant (typically at the ceiling level), filter it and return it to the plant. This is a proven solution in plants welding large parts with overhead cranes. It reduces the haze in the air, resulting in a cleaner working environment, with no negative pressure or heat loss.

Air in the immediate area of the welding activity is captured in a hood system, then filtered and returned to the plant. This is the best solution whenever possible. It allows for a more flexible system and removes the smoke directly from the operator's breathing zone. There are many types of source capture, including overhead hoods, crossflow hoods, fume arms and fume guns, some of which work better than others.

Ambient_Exhaust

Large exhaust fans draw contaminated air from the plant and exhaust it directly into the environment, typically through the roof or walls. This is a traditional method and often results in negative air pressure. Also, it is very difficult to climate-control your plant and the system may not work well in the winter.

Air in the immediate area of the welding activity is captured in a hood, sent through ductwork, and exhausted directly into the environment. This is a lower capital cost alternative to filtration, but tends to result in high operating costs and large, unsightly ducting systems that work less efficiently with modifications. It also results in negative pressure problems.

Endurex RMO Filter Design

RMO support keeps the filter pleats at optimum spacing, allowing for maximum loading on the media, and more effective pulse cleaning. RMO support ribs are continuous for the full length of the pleats ensuring no pleat collapse. RMO structures ensure media surface area is maximized, and the entire filter is used to its full potential.

Traditional Filter Design

In traditional filter design, the pleats are often pinched closed.  The clean area seen on the inside of these pleats indicates that the dirty air never reached this media, resulting in less effective loading and ineffective pulse cleaning — and as a result, short filter life.

Discover the Endurex™ A15: The Smarter Choice

The RoboVent A15 filter is a breakthrough in filter technology. With RMO technology and proprietary media, the Endurex A15 sustains filter life 1.5 to 2 times longer than standard filters. Ideal for dry, dusty particulate, the Endurex A15 filter can be used on many applications. As you can see in the graph, the filter provides superior filtration with low static pressure. The low filter pressure improves collector performance, while the MERV 15 nanofiber media efficiently filters particulate down to 0.1 micron in size.

Economy Cartridge Filter

The Endurex M11 is RoboVent’s Economy filter for applications where a low-cost filter is preferred. The Endurex M11 media is a fire retardant media.

DefendEx™ Cartridge Filter

The Endurex D12 is a specially blended media air filter cartridge for oil-laden particulate. The media is specifically formulated with an extremely durable phenolic resin system where each fiber is individually coated instead of a film formation.

WeldEx® Cartridge Filter

The Endurex W13 is RoboVent’s standard filter for welding applications.  The WeldEx features a fire retardant media has proved itself reliable, being used in thousands of RoboVent collectors today.

Nanofiber MERV 15

The Endurex A15 is RoboVent’s high quality cellulose/polyester blend that provides superior filtration efficiency and long life in welding applications.  Every filter is fire retardant and uses Nanofiber technology to achieve long filter life.

PTFE Cartridge Filter

A premium filter offering superior performance in both filter efficiency and longevity. The PTFE coating allows collected material to shed easily and quickly, extending the filter life and providing a very high level of filter efficiency. The Endurex B16’s rating level approaches HEPA filtration standards.
