Ambient_Filtration

Large blowers and air filtration equipment draw contaminated air from the plant (typically at the ceiling level), filter it and return it to the plant. This is a proven solution in plants welding large parts with overhead cranes. It reduces the haze in the air, resulting in a cleaner working environment, with no negative pressure or heat loss.

Air in the immediate area of the welding activity is captured in a hood system, then filtered and returned to the plant. This is the best solution whenever possible. It allows for a more flexible system and removes the smoke directly from the operator's breathing zone. There are many types of source capture, including overhead hoods, crossflow hoods, fume arms and fume guns, some of which work better than others.

Ambient_Exhaust

Large exhaust fans draw contaminated air from the plant and exhaust it directly into the environment, typically through the roof or walls. This is a traditional method and often results in negative air pressure. Also, it is very difficult to climate-control your plant and the system may not work well in the winter.

Air in the immediate area of the welding activity is captured in a hood, sent through ductwork, and exhausted directly into the environment. This is a lower capital cost alternative to filtration, but tends to result in high operating costs and large, unsightly ducting systems that work less efficiently with modifications. It also results in negative pressure problems.

The RoboVent Blade®, a high-volume, low-speed fan, is changing the way industrial and commercial buildings are ventilated. They're an excellent primary ventilation system in certain open-air facilities such as agricultural buildings, sheds and stadiums; and they're an excellent supplement to existing HVAC systems in a wide range of large, open spaces such as warehouses, distribution centers, processing plants, retail centers, athletic facilities and elsewhere.

During winter months our fans improve the distribution of warm air, and during the summer months, in reverse operation they circulate cool air more effectively. The results are increased comfort for building occupants while lowering the energy usage typically required for big spaces, especially for building with overhead doors or truck bays that cause a constant and expensive drain on HVAC systems.

Designed For Safety

Special care has been taken to design and build a fan with safety features that prevent the rotor or blades from falling in the unlikely event of a hub or drive system failure. The collet-type friction drive bushing connecting the hub to the reducer shaft allows controlled slippage in the event of a seizure of the reducer mechanism or a failure of the soft start feature in the control panel.

RoboVent Blade fans are backed by a lifetime warranty on the blades and hub. The motor, gear reducer and VFD control panel are covered by a three year limited warranty.
